What can be watered with Guldvatten?

Feel free to water everything you want to grow. Such as flowers, roses, clematis, geraniums, orchids, rhododendrons. Also edible vegetables and fruits such as chillies, apple trees, blueberries, potatoes, citrus, peppers, rhubarb, squash, sunflowers, cucumbers, Swiss chard, spinach, potatoes, corn, currants, gooseberries etc. All plants need the same kind of nutrition in approximately the same proportions, from the turnip in the country to the fig tree in the window! Nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, sulphur, magnesium and calcium are most needed. Then boron, manganese, iron, copper, zinc and molybdenum are needed in smaller quantities. If a single small substance is missing, the plant shows its dissatisfaction in different ways.

Golden water for vegetables

Of course, research has been done at Sweden's University of Agriculture. Human urine provides the best yield and least environmental impact of all fertilizer alternatives. Don't water the leaves, but down into the soil, that's where the nutrients should be. And don't water right before harvest. Check out our urine fertilization table! If it feels wrong, it's mostly about unfamiliarity and culture. You should know that pee is about 95 percent water and is sterile. Try watering with pee water and you will soon get over any feelings, especially when you realize all the benefits for vegetation, economy and environment. The climate requires smart choices, so grow, fertilize and compost and you've done your part for the environment. Remember that urine has historically held great value and has not been considered distasteful in any way. On the contrary.

The table was calculated in 2012 by Håkan Jönsson, SLU, based on recommended fertilization with nitrogen for the various crops. If you dilute the urine, the amounts must be increased in proportion to the tension.

We get a lot of questions about fertilizer and gold water. How to pee, where to water, when are the gardens ready to fertilize and fertilize.

We have a fertilizer table on our website where you can get all the information. Here you can see how to use gold water as a plant nutrient for your edible crops. Yellow water for onions, cucumbers, raspberries, gooseberries, turnips, carrots. Parsnips, potatoes, leeks, rhubarb, beetroot, lettuce, spinach and currants. The table is made for total amount undiluted urine during a growing season. This total dose can be divided into many smaller doses during the growing season. For many plants, you can fertilize perhaps twice as much as stated in the table during a growing season, but then you should definitely divide the amount into smaller doses, so you can see how the plant reacts. However, you should not exceed the amounts in the table too much when it comes to perennial plants. For these, it is important not to fertilize anything after July 15 or August 1, the earlier date if you have fertilized more than what is stated in the table in total. Otherwise, there is a great risk that you will encourage the plant to grow too much too late in the autumn, so that it does not have time to overwinter properly. Plants that are not going to overwinter can be fertilized as long as they are growing.

We recommend mixing 5-10 times as much water as pee. The plants are not that sensitive with exact proportions, but what you can think about is not to "burn" through too strong a concentration.

The amounts in the table apply to undiluted urine (with 7 g nitrogen/L). If the urine is diluted, the amounts must be increased in proportion to the dilution. The total quantity in liters of urine per square meter (sqm) of cultivation can be distributed over any number of fertilisers. Recommended at least one month between fertilizing and harvesting crops that are to be eaten raw as a salad. Which plants want gold water?

All plants do well with gold water. But like all fertilizers more or less. Plants such as orchids or flowers that generally want to stand on unfertilized soil can be avoided.

Pillars

Geranium with sugar, yum. Well, it's the first snow, but geraniums are actually edible and some really good in smaller quantities.

Geraniums are tough and can withstand a little frost. But today we are going to bring them into a cool and bright space. So they rest until spring. Then we gently wake them up and water them.

Rosenskare

"Rosenskäran" blooms even when it snows! Fantastic, so-called summer flower (not perennial). Take seeds and sow new ones this spring. Rosenskäran is also self-inflicted. It sows itself where there is good soil.

compost

A garden waste compost with a lot of winter stems, dry grass, twigs and branch chips/wood chips usually needs both extra liquid and nitrogen. For such a compost, golden water is perfect.

For a food waste compost, it is unnecessary and not recommended even if it is not harmful either. Such compost is often well wet even without extra liquid.

If you don't have enough, take what you have and usually it's more likely that you have too little than too much!
